To My Readers:
If you have taken time to read my blog, I’m assuming you are interested in learning more about copyright and how one goes about obtaining permission to use copyrighted material. If you just want some general information about copyrighting, then the section “Copyright Basics” is for you.
If you are an author, especially a textbook author, I strongly urge you to read the posts in “Permissions: The Why and The What” as well as “Copyright Basics.”
If you are trying for the first time to obtain permissions, the posts listed under “Asking for Permissions, Step by Step,” will walk you through the basics. This is the section I’m currently writing.
If you decide you want to read everything, remember–unlike a book, blogs list everything in reverse order, with the latest entry listed first. To make sense of the entire blog, start at the end and read backwards.
And of course, your comments, ideas, and questions are always welcome!
Anne

I wanted to stop by and say thank you for leaving a comment on my site. I also wanted to thank you for your honesty, and have gone in and made a few changes to my site’s theme in order to make it easier to read.
Thank you again,
